Load flow/power factor correction study
The load flow study is an analysis of the system capability to supply the connected load under steady-state conditions. Optimal management of the power system can be achieved through the use of this analytical tool.
Transient stability study
The transient stability study provides an analysis of the transient response of the system and rotating machines following system disturbances, as well as the behavior of the system in relation to the power company tie. All studies include computer simulations that determine the effects of short circuits upon the system transient stability.
Transient motor starting analysis
A motor starting study is conducted to evaluate the motor’s impact on the power system and vice versa. These studies are usually performed for new motor installations to ensure system reliability, provide data for motor protection, and to identify any system modifications that may be necessary to avoid starting problems.
